Go to the SharePoint site main Page and look for Site Actions (located towards the top right corner)

Click on Site Actions—> Create Site , you will be presented with a page as shown below.

1.Browse to the SharePoint Library to which you want to upload  the files to and click on the drop down arrow next to upload

Right Click on a Top folder in which you want the new folder to be located and click on New Folder

To open a document in Edit mode, click Edit in the document's Edit menu. It is the menu that appears when you click the triangle to the right of the filename.

Keep Track of your Project’s Document Folder from right within Outlook and get notified when changes are made to it

To configure this browse to the SharePoint folder you want to keep track of  and Click on Actions--> Connect to Outlook
